The Democratic County Committee positions on your primary ballot may seem small, but they matter. Rep Your Block candidates are running to reform the Democratic Party in Brooklyn.
Right now, Brooklyn is one of the most Democratic counties in the country, but important decisions are made by party leaders without input from voters or County Committee members, who represent these voters. Rep Your Block candidates aim to change this through active participation in County Committee and engagement with neighbors to learn how we can make a Brooklyn Party that reflects the diversity of our borough. We think Brooklyn should set the standard for innovation and political energy in the Democratic Party, and we should have a County Committee that is inclusive, participatory, and transparent in its actions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can vote for a Rep Your Block candidate? County Committee candidates are only on the ballot in the Election District that they ran in. That means the people who can vote for them are the same people who were able to sign their petitions -- registered Democrats who live in the ED where they are running.
Does a voter need to have signed a candidate's petition to vote for them? Definitely not! A voter can vote for any candidate regardless of petition signing.
What if my neighbors want to vote absentee? Anyone can request an absentee ballot by June 13 at www.nycabsentee.com. Absentee ballots must be postmarked or dropped off by June 28.
How can I support Rep Your Block candidates? You can doorknock and canvass for these candidates! If you would like Rep Your Block literature to pass out to your neighbors, we will be holding a few lit pickup events. If you can’t make these, we’ll have additional dates next weekend.
